El 19 y 20 de febrero y en el Mediterranean Conference Centre se celebró la final maltesa para Eurovisión, que fue presentada por Mariella Scerri & Joseph Chetcuti. El ganador fue elegido por un jurado de expertos.
Entre las curiosidades de este año destaca la presencia en la final de Fabrizio Faniello, que representó a Malta en el 2001 y 2006, y Claudette Pace, que representó a Malta en el 2000.
