El 1 de marzo se realizó desde los estudios de ORF en Viena la final de Austria para Eurovisión y fue presentado por Andi Knoll.
La televisión austríaca decidió que el ganador de esta edición saliera por medio de televoto, votos a través de SMS y por los votos de un jurado popular que previamente la televisión de Austria había abierto un portal en internet para que la gente que consiguiera más votos podría estar de jurado esa noche.
